What will compel your customers to use your E-Commerce system?

There has to be a REASON to come back and do business online. Towards this end, we've put together some ideas which borrow from good old fashioned marketing savvy.

  1. Frequent Buyer Program

    The airlines have successfully used this concept for years. Offer the user points for every dollar they spend at the website and then allow these users to redeem their points for all sorts of things including:

    • Company Logo Products - Hats, T Shirts
    • Electronics - Palm Pilots, Computers
    • Theater Tickets
    • Restaurant Gift Certificates
    • Tickets to Sporting Events
    • Sporting Goods - Golf Clubs, Etc…

    The list is endless, but give them a choice from an online catalog, or brochure. The bottom line is to PROMOTE THE PROMOTION with direct mail, email, sales fliers or what have you.

    The clerical side can be fairly simple, just keep a database or book for each user and email them a points update after each order. If the book-keeping gets out of hand (hurray!), we can set up a customized "back end" function for you that will automatically tabulate the points and report back to the user in a "My Account" area of your site.

  2. Win a FREE Something or Other (Palm Pilot, Sports Tickets, etc…)

    Put a button up on your site and do a direct mailing to your customers alerting them to this promotion. Require them to fill out an entry blank and promise a drawing once a month.

    The side benefit of this is that you get to capture valuable demographic data in the registration.
